Interim Technical Management

The core offering of MAS Food Consultancy is the provision of Technical management support to a Food Business. Typically this will be periods of 3 – 12 months to cover for absence of key personnel, an upcoming audit, peak production periods or times when you need extra resource.

Interim Operational Management

An offering for MAS Food Consultancy is the provision of Operational Management support to a business. Typically delivering internal projects, Operational Efficiencies and Savings, KPI targets, Mentoring, Motivating and Supporting the Team to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.

Audit Preparation and Quality Management Systems

With extensive knowledge and experience of the BRC Technical Standard v8 and Retailer COPs including M&S, Sainsburys, Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Lidl, Co-op and Morrisons. We can help develop and improve your QMS to meet customer COP’s and ensure successful audits.

Training and Development

REHIS and Seafish approved training centre for the delivery of certified Food Hygiene, HACCP, VACCP/TACCP, Allergen Awareness and H&S courses.
Bespoke courses also available to suit the needs of your Business.

Technical Troubleshooting

By utilising years of experience, we can support with analysing issues, identifying root cause, corrective action and implementing longer term preventative measures.

Michael is a well-respected figure in the Seafood Industry, the wider business sector and in his local community. Michael was Managing Director of our Kilron factory and latterly, his experience and expertise were crucial to ensuring a successful transition to a fully operational centre for white fish and value-add products at the company’s Watermill Road site in Fraserburgh.

Whilst Michael was employed by Young’s Seafood Limited, he built strong relationships with customers and those within his team.

I have had the pleasure of working with Michael on 2 occasions. Firstly with Young’s Fraserburgh site and more recently Michael joined me as Interim Head of Technical whilst at Edinburgh Salmon Co Ltd part of Thai Union Group.

Michael helped galvanise the relatively young and inexperienced Technical team who were crying out for Leadership and development. Not only did Michael provide both, he did this whilst improving all aspects of our Technical function which culminated in the site achieving a BRC AA+ result with only 1(one) minor NC. An amazing result in only 18 months.
